Simply put, the term “conversion” refers to a change. But not just any change: a real change of our beliefs and actions, resulting from a change in our very nature, such as the change that takes place when a dead man is revived, or when an adult is “born again.” Such change is impossible by our own power and will. For this reason, God must work through the Gospel to bring about the change needed in our lives. The purpose of this class, therefore, is to discuss what conversion is, how conversion takes place, and how conversion can be identified in one’s life.
The class will be structured as follows:
Week 1: Do We Need to Change?
Week 2: Is Change Possible?
Week 3: What Is the Change We Need?
Week 4: How Does This Change Happen?
Week 5: What Are the Fruits of This Change? (Part 1)
Week 6: What Are the Fruits of This Change? (Part 2)
Week 7: Conversion and the Church
This class is based upon the 9Marks Healthy Church Study Guides.
